Welcome to the New term!
I'm very excited as I begin the next step of my studies and make a fresh start !
Now I became more familiar with the Media Course. During this term I will be doing exciting things like photography, creative writing, chapbook and creating a podcast. During my Christmas break I had plenty of time and found some inspirations in Media. I will begin here with artwork of marvelous nature photographer Daniel Kordan. He is doing fantastic photos of landscapes all over the world. Pictures really give back the beauty and sublimity of our planet. As he says "
nature is my inspiration with all the beauty and mix of colors and compositions" (Daniel Kordan). For me it is very interesting how the pictures are edited from raw to final outcomes. At his page he is sharing his background, all the interesting information about his work and settings that he is using. He grew up at lake in Moscow and there he explored wild nature and it pushed him to the photography of it. He was a student of Physics and Technology and during his course he get experience in climbing, hiking and guiding tourist group in winter and summer. As he says: "
When I was in University, I joined the mountain club and became a mountain and climbing guide about 10 years ago. This involved hiking and travelling to many incredible places to watch the sun rise in the mornings. Every place that we visited, I always had the feeling that I wanted to share them with others. In this role, I met a lot of amazing people and was lucky enough to be exposed to different cultures. Having my camera meant that I could document all of my experiences, which I absolutely loved. (Kordan). Then he became a guide of photo-workshops and editor of "Continent expedition" magazine. He is passionate about Tuscany in Italy, Lofoten Islands. Kordan get many of international awards in photography such as "National Geographic Russia contest 2013 winner". He works for Apple, Gazprom and Redbull. He make publications in Photography Master Class or Digital SLR Magazine. Now he is doing workshops, photo expeditions and tutorials for everybody who wants to be a good nature photographer. To be honest with love I would like to participate in them!
Daniel Kordan
At the beginning on my journey with Media I have used simple smartphone to take pictures, and now I have discovered he is using a wide range of high professional equipment like Nikon Z7 Camera, 24-70 f/2.8 nikkor S, FTZ adapter, Nikon D800r S, Nikon D800, Nikon D810, D810 and editing pictures in many digital software like Photoshop, Lightroom, Luminar, PTGui, StarStax, LRTimelapse, Adobe Premier, Photo Mechanic, Helicon Focus. I can say I'm impressed. Another interesting fact is that he doesn't give names for every picture, he left raw name from camera - in my opinion it creates impression of realistic and true pictures. Here I share with you some of his wonderful pictures:

I found that he is also inspired by Lord Byron - an romantic english poet (born 1788) and also this poem touches me deeply:
"There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne’er express, yet cannot all conceal"
Lord Byron
What I can implement to my course from his work is that now I gained knowledge what kind of equipment and software I should look for to start working deeply in photography. Also I can choose which field of photography I can be specialized in. His pictures are good motivation for me. Also I found his website as a very good example of great designed website focused on his portfolio and work that he is doing. His website appeals to me enough. The Home page consist of high quality image, portfolio is divided for clear sections and about me page and contact page is very well done. Very good inspiration.
