Draft of introduction
In today's post I will work to show the draft of my introduction. I read more about about the types of introductions in a book for journalists.
These are:
Types of introduction - (Hicks, 2016)
Two of the intros that I was interested was narrative and anecdote. To quote Hicks "the narrative style should begin with dramatic moment in the story and name their main character" (Hicks, 2016). I decided to use narrative introduction because I think this type of my introduction will work well to catch readers attention and engage the reader as well. Also we can show a real story, real example - in this case, the story of a miner.
I will use parts of the story and implement them to my article, for example I would like to add it to the introduction of my article to make it more personal. I will begin with a narrative story. I would like to start with description of situation, and I also give the name the character of the story. I think my first sentence should catch the readers attention well. That is very important
I started to write an article using narrative introduction. Here is the draft of my intro:
This is the final outcome. I hope you like it.
Hungry miner
Andrew, a polish miner comes home after a long and dangerous underground shift, he was tired, soiled with coal, and hungry. He dreamed of nothing but a decent and hearty meal in the comfort of his home. After he came home, his wife washes his back in a bowl of hot water (...)
Also I would like to use some quotes from my in interview and add them to my article as a 'pull quotes' to make it more interesting and honest.

This is an okay start on your introduction though I would have like to see a little more here. Perhaps consider how you could use parts of the story/quotations from the interview you completed in the introduction to make this more personal.
